New USEF Vaccination Rule

As of December 1, 2015, all horses entering grounds of federally licensed competitions must be accompanied by documentation of Equine Flu and Equine Herpes Virus Vaccinations within 6 months.

Influenza and Herpes Virus are both highly contagious Equine diseases.  They are frequently transmitted from one horse to another at horse shows, rodeos or other events that can be stressful to a horse.  Vaccination not only aids in protecting your horse from contracting these diseases, but it also can help prevent carrier horses from shedding the virus.
